The laughter is the last thing he'd expected, except perhaps in mockery, so his first reaction is withdrawal, the second is to relax as the doctor explains. He doesn't entirely trust the doctor has encountered the same thing, or understood it as he does. But then, he never trusts anyone else with dreams. No one else seems to understand them.

He struggles a little with the suggestion, brow dipping in and out of a small frown. "But there were three entities and the dreamer. And they were very distinct. I wouldn't call them shreds of anything. But you're... you're suggesting they're a part of him? Would they... maybe be some sort of split personality?"
